Silent Auction to Rebuild the Dam!

Welcome to the Curtis Pond Association Silent Auction. All items being auctioned off were donated by generous community members to support our efforts to rebuild the Curtis Pond Dam and Save Curtis Pond! Please bid generously.

PLEASE NOTE: THE AUCTION BEGINS 10/7!

We will have Silent Auction items on display before and after the Maple Corner Community Center Film Festival, on Friday, October 7th (festival 8-930pm) and at the MCCC Fall Foliage Brunch, from 9am to noon on Saturday, October 8th. You’ll be able to start the bidding, as well as “buy items now” for items with that option. Note: There will be NO buy-it-now option online, ONLY IN PERSON! Online Bidding will begin the morning of October 9th, with any in person bids made at the MCCC becoming the opening bid. Bidding will close at 2pm on Sunday October 23rd. The winning bidders will be displayed on this website, and we will be in touch shortly thereafter.

Please note that bids are updated manually, not automatically, so there is a chance someone will outbid you before your bid posts. Bids will be updated on the website several times a day.

If you win an item, you will be contacted shortly after the auction closes. This is a LOCAL auction, each winning bidder will be expected to pick up their item in Maple Corner, within two weeks of the end of the auction. You can pay for your item online, or with cash/check at pickup.

Please join us at the Maple Corner Community Center during Fall Foliage Festival to view the items or “buy them now” and check back on this page to bid on items between October 9th and October 23rd.

To place a bid: Note the item number you want to bid on and click a “Place Bid” button to place your bid. You must submit a separate form for EACH BID you want to place. Having trouble with the website? You can also email your bid to curtispondcalais@gmail.com.

Below you’ll find a complete list of Silent Auction items along with photos and descriptions. We have nearly 100 wonderful items. While we encourage you to browse them all, you can also skip ahead to the specific section you are looking for.

Our house is directly on Curtis Pond, in Maple Corner. It is a fantastic location all year long. Summer swimming, leaf peeping in the fall, ice-skating and cross-country skiing right out of the door in winter. The location feels private, but not isolated. The house is great for couples, singles, and families. We have a canoe, kayak and a SUP. Wonderful bird watching! Maple corner is a magical spot. The Maple corner store is within walking distance. Montpelier is 10 miles; Stowe is 30 miles away. This house was just built in 2016. It is very sunny and bright and sits about 18 inches from the lake! The house is about 1300 square feet. Downstairs has a large main room, a bathroom and an extra little room with a daybed. There is a wood burning stove and a propane heater. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. All beds are new and have yummy cotton sheets, cotton quilts and duvets. This a bohemian camp-that is rustic – with luxurious rugs, nice linens, lovely art and a well- supplied kitchen.
